what is my form bean called and how do i write it's values to the page directly?

I have a happy form bean and can populate my form with it no worries, but I want to display some of the form attributes in in the page outside of form elements. the bean:write tag requests a name but i can't see defied anywhere what that name is. help!

to once again answer my own question, the form has whatever name was defined for in in struts-config.xml
gee why is it i only work these things out after i post questions to this forum.
 
Don't get me started about those stupid light bulbs.
