Hi pramod,

Certainly not! I would not waste my time on this one, I didn't do it at all. You have a version.txt where you have to tell in which environment (jdk + host platform) you developed, so I think they take that into account when grading your assignment.

Kind regards,
Roel

Hi Roel.

That is not entirely true as I stated I developed in both windows and ubuntu and no problem.

What's not entirely true? I developed my assignment on a Windows XP machine, so I guess they read the version.txt and take the host platform into account (test my application on a similar platform). Otherwise I don't see any added value why you should provide the version.txt file.

Kind regards,
Roel

It is not true that they take into account your environment. This does not affect your grade if thats what you meant: Anyway no harm done

Hi Yucca,

Maybe I expressed myself not that good. I meant with "take into account", that they grade your assignment using the same (or similar) host environment as you provided in the version.txt file. Of course using Unix, Windows, Macintosh or another platform won't affect your grade.

Kind regards,
Roel
