dear all,

IOC and DI are nowadays the buzz words for techies. can all the problem be solved by the this pattern? are there specific problem that this is trying to solve? is this pattern solving the factory pattern related issues effectively?
(or)
can we implement a particular design pattern with ioc (style)? ?
i understood IOC like this, decouples parent from the child, but relates them on the abstraction. right?

thanks for your advises

Hi,

IOC and DI aren't the buz nowadays they have been there for long now, however it happens that when you hear something is when it is happening. It does not solve all of the problems, Spring as an example of IoC is addressing dependency management at different levels, right from class level to module level. It also helps in avoiding writing the glue code. Yeah, it does solve all factory pattern related issues at the class level.

That is kind of right for what IoC does except that it does not decouple a parent from a child but a dependency from a dependent, like a particular type of engine from a particular type of car.
