I have 2 date pickers viz...

The things are in a form submitted by an OK button...

Now on the click of OK i call a javascript ... I am unable to get the selected data in the form in my Javascript variable...How to get it?

Now

alert(textnode1);
alert(textnode1);

would lead to 'undefined'

If I had,

alert(textnode1);
alert(textnode1);

would give [Object HTMLSpanElement]..

what could be the error??
