I was asked a question in an interview"If i sell my java product to one of my client say a 'School Automation' project and the client has very less knowledge about computers and doesnot know anything about languages or how to execute the java application, then how to we deploy Java Projects at the client end? "

Can we do it in NetBeans or just manually ?

Web apps are deployed on the server, not the client, so there's nothing to install (assuming that a sufficiently recent web browser exists).

Installing a desktop app could be as simple as copying a file to some place on the hard disk, or running an installer. The result would be a double-clickable application (assuming that a JVM is available; if not, then the installer would have to install that, too).

Jar files can be made to be double-clickable to start an application: http://faq.javaranch.com/java/JarFiles

You can consider build tools like Maven to create deployable war or jar files. Maven supports to deploy generated war files on servers like tomcat.

Don't get me started about those stupid light bulbs.
