why should i used webservices

may i know any reason why i should i use web services when i can expose business logic with servlets ejb and other technologies.

may i know when i should consider webservices technology.

Hi!
One reason for using web services may be interoperability with clients written in other programming languages, for instance C#, PHP etc etc.
Another reason may be that you want to use a standardized way of communicating that already have available solutions to solve problems like security, reliable messaging etc.
