Anyone using Seam 2.2 (hibernate) Jboss AS 5.1 and hitting an invalid SQL problem with count(...)

I have used seam-gen to create a project. It appears to work fine until the apps displays data for a table that needs to be pages.

The problem is that the select count (...) generated from hibernate is malformed:


Anyone else hitting this, or has some idea what is going on?
Seems to be a bug, there seem to be a few with Seam 2.2. I'm a bit surprised it is considered GA.
I might try again with 2.1 if this is likely to be more stable, but another bug I hit is still an outstanding issue with 2.1 and 2.2.
