Travel to Boston

I'll be traveling to boston next satday. What all I need to carry with me ? I googled for checklists but I didnt get any good one that is specific to boston climate.

One person says I should carry snow goggles other says its not necessary, one person says I need to carry thermal wear others say good woolen clothes are sufficient and whether there are anything else in this list I still do not know.

Anyone who has been to Boston or know the details help me out , please ?

Expect cold but not freezing weather (30-50s F, or 0-10 C). Not likely to snow, but it looks like rain towards the weekend (and it will be a cold rain).

Snow goggles? I spend several winters in Boston and never considered snow goggles. Its still Fall, not the heart of winter. It can be cold with a bit of snow this time of year, but you won't see the real Boston winter yet. In Winter, you can get two feet of snow overnight when a Nor'easter comes in.

Which explains why I now live in Austin.

For sure. I think it was Winter 77, perhaps Feb, and i was driving a rental car when a Nor-easter dropped a couple of inches per hour while I was at work. I had one of my office mates drop me off at the hotel, no way I was driving in that stuff. I think they got only 18" or maybe 24" overnight, but what I was not prepared for was that it was in a big company parking lot and they had two commercial "big tire front end loaders" working to clear the lot. They did not appreciate my car sitting in the middle of the lot, breaking up their long runs at high speed. So they decided to use my car as the place to pile the snow.

The next morning, there was a 20 feet high pile of snow burying my car. I called the rental company, said that I needed a new car, and they could get their old one back in the Spring.
