Scenario : applet is embedded in the html page, and i need the value of a specific <input> tag and want to send to java applet through the <param> tag of <applet> tag.

Example:

this is the html input tag <input type="text" value="abc" id="123"/>

I want to assign the value of the above input tag to <param name=x value=value from the above input tag>

any idea how to do it ?

I don't think altering the PARAM tags after the applet has been loaded will do much good. The applet could use the Common DOM API to access the HTML form elements directly, though.
