Hi,

I had been to one interview, there they have asked me:

1) what are the implicit objects in JSP?

...so i told all the implicit objects....as we know Session is also one among them.

2) Then they asked me how do you manage sessions in JSP?
...My answer was HttpSessions and URL rewriting.....

3)The third question was very tricky, when sessions is already implicit, why do you need another session management technique? why can't you use implicit object? don't you think you are negating your own statement?

For this question, i had no answer.....i was looking starts..........

Can anyone please help me to find out the answer for 3rd question?

Regards,

Sheriff

That's not making any sense. How are those "external"? The implicit session variable in JSP is an instance of HttpSession, so how is that "external"?

And URL re-writing is just a way of maintaining the session in the absence of cookies. Again, nothing "external" about it.

Perhaps the interviewer was just fishing to see if you knew these comcepts?

Is it possible to explain more clearly about what you are trying to tell..?
Please?

It is you who needs to explain your question more clearly.

You still haven't explained what "external session management techniques" are.
