By adding a Swing GUI to it (http://java.sun.com/docs/books/tutorial/uiswing/index.html) and giving it a main method (http://java.sun.com/docs/books/tutorial/getStarted/application/index.html#MAIN) so it can be started from the command line (or by double-clicking a jar file: http://java.sun.com/docs/books/tutorial/deployment/jar/appman.html)

How, exactly, are you creating the jar file? Post the commands you're using. Also post the contents of the manifest file, and the output of the "jar -tf" command applied to the jar file.

The main class is called Test, not Test.class.
