Thanks, everyone, for the congratulations, and your continuous help/support, without which I would have crawled off to die on some remote part of the trail a long time ago. (Most notably right around Say and SortNames.) There were times when I was so stumped that I thought my brain would seize up, and there was always someone to give me a gentle boot in the right direction. This alone makes the ranch a very special place. There were those moments of sublime inspiration when it all became so clear, and after feverishly coding into the wee hours of the morning I would submit my masterpiece for nitpicking..... And I'm sure you all know what happened next! This experience makes the ranch a great place. What now? Well, I'm studying XML in anticipation of new assignments, and I am trying to get a better grasp of the basics so I can help newcomers out with some of their questions. My knowledge of Java is still very incomplete, and a lot of the questions posted in the cattle drive forum are beyond my ability to answer, but I have a dream................. I want to pass the certification exam! So I'm going to keep studying, and I'll be checking in as often as I can, and if I can help someone else out along this arduous trail, I'll put my two cents in. Now Joseph, are you sorry you asked for a speech? Thanks again everyone. I am only going to thank Marilyn by name for being so generous with her time, because otherwise this post will become intolerably long, but there are others out there, and you know who you are, to whom I owe a great debt of gratitude as well. Long live JavaRanch!
