caused quite a caos for our production applications. That's why I don't think it's a good practice to reference them externally.

Yup, and since I wasn't able to look up Javadocs info, I decided to download all the docs for J2SE 1.4.2. But instead of the docs, I'm getting a "Bad Request" error.
