Dear Ahmed,

I never used any ORM framework, although I know ORM concepts.
And we use Spring for every possibility where it can be used. (Spring core, jdbc, mvc, remote etc)

I am planning to learn "JPA/Hibernate" and also "JPA/Hibernate with Spring"
So, does Spring Persistence with Hibernate book required or assumes hibernate knowledge ? or it also contains Basics of Hibernate and How to.. Hibernate?

Cheers,

Yes it gives you a pretty good and quick tour of Hibernate

The book teaches you Hibernate (both Hibernate native API and JPA) from basic, even if you have not already used any other ORM framework.

I just referred to it and I found it teaches you Hibernate very well and as the author says you do not need other resources.

What about Spring, how well this book teaches Spring?
