What do I get from your book that I don't get from other Struts books?

I think this thread has already your question to the author... Just don't want to scatter lots of duplicated answers in the forum...

Another question:
Is your book available as an ebook? (PDF-format)
I am always looking for good books that I can carry along with my laptop. Cause the main need for books is when I am offline.

Here is what I've just extracted from ObjectSource Site. The ebook version is relatively cheaper than the hard copy $4.... Hope it helps....

Paperback Price: $14.95
ebook Price: $10.95

But one more question for me is whether the ebook version is sent to the buyer as a CD or we just need to download from the site? I hope Mr.Srikanth is able to answer this question easily... Or comments from anyone are welcome...

Ko Ko,
The ebook is downloadable directly from the website upon payment with Paypal.
I developed the Paypal Integration for the website using Struts
It was an interesting experience and I think I should share it here.
1) When payment is made using Paypal, it (Paypal) sends a notification using HTTP Post.
2) On the publisher's website, the HTTP Post is handled by a Struts Action
3) The Action stores the customer's details in database and then sends an email to the customer with a generated id, that is valid for 24 hours from the time of generation.
4) The customer can then go to the website and enter the email and the code in a Struts form. Wrong/missing data is aptly pointed out by the Struts Validation...
5) Upon successful email/code combination, the file is streamed to the client browser through the Action.
6) The file is stored as a zipped PDF under the WEB-INF directory, so that normal HTTP GET/POST cannot access the file and is also the reason why the file is downloadable only through the Action class and not as a link.
Overall, it was interesting since I had never done this before.

This is a really good example of what you can do with Struts.
Thanks for sharing, Srikanth :-)

Morning came much too soon and it brought along a friend named Margarita Hangover, and a tiny ad.
