Hi guys,
I am a very new bie to IBM websphere and started working on it by deploying my war file 1day ago. Problem is I am not able to install the application.

Gone through many posts saying that I need to make an ear file for deployment...is this correct?

or is there any path i need to give for directory for installation (one of the steps of deployment)?.

or could any guide me for any quick learning or help for deploying a war file..

Thanks
kishore

Howdy Greenhorn!

You can deploy a war directly to WebSphere.

Does the war file work in your development environment? What URL are you using to access the applicaiton? Are there any exceptions when you deploy, or invoke the application? 500 errors? 404 errors?
