Yikes. Did you try Tomcat 4.1?
Also try running this with Resin. I find that Resin gives helpful error messages. I use it for development even when I am deploying to other application servers (especially when things go wrong).
It looks like you have the wrong version of some Jar file. Make sure you are not deploying an older version of j2ee.jar file to Tomcat 5.0. In fact, make sure you are not deploying j2ee.jar to Tomcat at all.
I run Struts with Tomcat 5.0 all the time.

Hi,
You can run struts 1.1 in tomcat 5.0.x version . It doesnt have any problem. First you check the action specified on your JSP, Correponding mapping in the configuration file and action class.
path you are giving in your configuration file should match with what you are specifiying in your JSP as form action (action="/path").
And if you have more than one method in your action class you should specify related method in your jsp along with your form action and in the action mapping you should specify the parameter attribute of the action mapping.
The error what you have given always get when the method is not matching .
If you have only execute()method only then no need to specify the method name in the form action of the JSP.
I dont know this will solve your problem .After checking all these also if it is not working please post your JSP, Action mapping in the configuration and your action class
. It will be helpful to solve the problem

Don't get me started about those stupid light bulbs.
