Hey

We have a web application which access the DB2 database through Java and it is in production. I got an email from my counterpart asking "We will also need to determine whether the apps use DB2 stored procedures written in Java"..

I am not clear with this stored procedures for DB2. Can anyone explain this.

In DB2, it is possible to write stored procedures in Java.
Your counterpart is asking if your company has used this technology in your product.

You will have to ask your development team if they used this technique, or ask your DBA to check if your application uses the technique.

Here is the IBM intro.
