Hi all,

Can somebody tell me how Jboss treat the DTD in .xml files ?
Actually we have a custom .xml file which has a application specific dtd.

While reading the .xml it is getting MalformedURLException.

What is the way out?

The DTD will be looked up, based on the URL given, and used to validate the XML file. Possibly there is something wrong in the XML file.

Please post the full exception stack trace, and the XML file (or at least enough of it to include the possible URL).

JBoss AS is not reading this XML file, your code is. Or at least I believe that com.test.util.xml.XMLLoader is your class, which is using Xerces to read the XML.
