Does anyone know details about the AJAX support which became standardized in JSF 2.x? Is it easy to use the common available AJAX frameworks with the new mechanism?

If JSF2 didn't have excellent Ajax support, it would be dead on arrival and every amount of scorn heaped on it would be well deserved. Thankfully, JSF2 has very excellent Ajax support, and this is amply covered in the tutorial and reference sections of my book!

Obviously you're right. A web framework without good AJAX support wouldn't get much attention today. And I'm glad to hear that there's a lot of information about this topic in you book

try to use A4J (Ajax for JSF) framework available in RichFaces jar files
