Dear Experts,
i have downloaded the
jboss
4.2.3 and installed on Linux machine with jre 1.6
as i can see the statements while starting it is successful , but when i type on browser,
http://hostname:8080/
it is showing page cannot be displayed,
how to solve this issue, please inform

Try using localhost:8080
or
Check on which port the server is running. Might be it is running on another port.

You have to tell JBoss specifically which IP addresses to bind to (new behaviour as of 4.2 I think). Start it with the parameter -b 0.0.0.0 to get round this, otherwise you can only access via localhost.
