Coordinate and Implement the physical changes at our multiples collocations
Provide insight into improving Infrastructure Deployment's practices and procedures in order to minimize deployment time and cost.
Participate in the resolution of some level 3 infrastructure issues.
Establish process, create troubleshooting guidelines, determine readiness for platform deployments and capacity requirements, and generate reports.
Participate in cross departmental work groups to identify and resolve provisioning issues and service problems.
Participate as a hands-on member of the Infrastructure Deployment team.
Install a large, scalable inventory of servers, switches, routers, and storage hardware
Diagnose hardware issues and repair or upgrade as required
Understand and debug network, hardware, and Linux OS related issues
Handle incoming shipments and track server assets through deployment
Use and maintain server automation and installation tools
Create documentation for the various Linux and CFEngine configuration
Lead independent projects.
Provide insight into improving the monitoring strategy using Nagios, Cacti, OpsView and SNMP.
Regularly attends project meetings.
Provide quality feedback.
Gather and document deployment information.
BS in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent work experience
Cisco CCNA certification (preferred)
2 to 5+ years of hands on experience in large scale deployments.
Previous experience in hosted environments.
Demonstrated problem solving, capacity planning and operations process creation skills.
Well versed in current IT technology including Unix, Linux, Solaris, Cisco Network Equipment.
Experience at configuring data networks comprised of: SAN technologies, Centos and VERITAS Cluster File System.
Real life expertise at deploying in mixed environments: Linux, Solaris and Windows
Experience programming in BASH, Python, and Ruby is preferred.
Excellent leadership, interpersonal and communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, changing environment
Attention to detail with methodical problem-solving approach
