Good day to you all !

I happen to need to prepare a presentation on a Topic about Software Testing for School. Here are some example subjects that will probably give you an idea of what I'm looking for:

Myths about software Testing
Fundamental Issues in Software Testing
Common Errors in Software Testing

I'm querying you to know If you can suggest to me a Topic similar to the ones above, so I can explore, investigate, study, and finally develop my presentation. I'm looking for a topic that's exciting, but at the same time not predictable (well known)

Infinite Thanks,

Best Regards,

Jose

What is interesting to you? What parts of testing do you want to explore?

Hello Jeanne.

I'm pretty much someone new to software testing, So, I don't quite know what's really interesting to me because I haven't explored everything there's to know about this area of software. But so far I have realized it's quite an extensive science.

I've enjoyed my classes where exploratory testing has been discussed, but that's it. I'd like to have an interesting topic about it. I'm open to suggestions though.

Thank you for your answer.

Jose

Myths of test automation - This can cover what and what not possible with automation, when to automate, myths and realities of automation etc
Security Testing - This is also a good topic, but advanced topic and requires more work

Good luck

Hi There !

I believe I can work with that, however I think I must stay away from the Myths of topics. Security sounds interesting though...

Any other suggestions... anyone, anyone ?

Have a nice day,

Jose.

This is a much broader topic than you probably realize. It's good to know you found it interesting because if I recommend random topics, they are interesting to me rather than you.

There is a book titled =http://www.informit.com/store/product.aspx?isbn=0321636414Exploratory Software Testing: Tips, Tricks, Tours, and Techniques to Guide Test Design. See my book review. It might be interesting to use this as inspiration for a topic. Take a look at the table of contents and see what springs to mind.
