Hi Mr.John,
There is a Struts book from McGraw-Hill which is "Struts,The Complete Reference"... There was a book promotion for that book as well in the past... We can guess by the name of the book that it covers almost all of the Struts stuff...

How do you compare that book with your book? Or your book tends to explain Struts in a difference way? Or your book emphasizes more on best practices and more expert stuff?

Thanks...

I am also interested in this question.

However, seems we need to wait for the author to answer it.

i reading the complete reference book, it is nice ...as far i compare the table of contents between two books, i found pro jakarta struts not only focus on struts explaination but also other development tools or framework like xdoclet and velocity, which i think author considering on more development aspect

Do u mean the "Pro Jakarta Struts" book emphasize more on other tools, in addition to the core Struts? I think this book has less pages than the Complete Reference, how can it discuss mroe on other tools rather than emphasizing on the Struts, the main topic...

I think,

In Pro Jakarta Struts Book have goal/purpose in how to apply struts into real world application and work together with another tool/framework , performance.

But in The Struts, The Complete Reference Book is goal/target on All information of Struts Framework , such as What is Struts Framework, all properties , all feaure, how to use all feature.

So, each book have goal/purpose different but have target in : How to use Struts Framework .....

So do u mean Pro Jakarta Struts book was basically written for the implementation of the best practices and theory, while The Complete Reference emphasizing on the experimental stuff?

You use the word "All" for the book "Struts, The Complete Reference". By possessing that book, don't we need any additional resources for the application developement, using Struts?

Anyway, I guess Mr.John Carnell has already read that Complete Reference book... I hope he can say what is black and what is white on the two books...
