- Own delivery of fast paced (e.g. monthly releases) projects
o Helping define the requirements and feature sets including by
Regular collaboration with onsite teams through daily phone conference calls
Iterative prototyping
o Project planning and tracking
o Application development and technical code reviews
o Cross team coordination for project delivery
o Deliver on challenging projects such as
Workflow and integration projects using Microsoft SharePoint Server 2010, Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007, InfoPath 2010 and InfoPath 2010, Enterprise Search and other features of Microsoft SharePoint Server 2010 and Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007
Enterprise Portals and Content Management
o Plan and architect portal based solutions, development of web parts
o Design and develop extremely reliable, scalable and high performing code
o Ensure quality of the code using code quality tools and frequent code reviews
Mentor and develop technical team across locations
o Lead a development team of 5 - 10 software engineers
o Ensure project team is trained to deliver on project requirements
o Ensure 80%-90% utilization of the resources in the project
o People management including team motivation, providing feedback, training and mentoring the team
o Coordinate with the
testing team; Implement bug fixes; Knowledge sharing sessions with test team
o Hire right talent based on business needs
Lead and develop technical standards, best practices, and SharePoint practice (~10%)
o Define and enforce coding standards, design styles and best practices
o Identify and streamline routine processes in a fast-paced environment
o Enforce and update the SharePoint coding standards for future code design, team based-development and code release management
o Research and evaluate software and hardware to enhance the development environment and process
o Lead by example by clearing latest Microsoft certifications (majority of our developers hold three to four Microsoft Certifications)
o Become subject matter expert by exploring relevant technical developments and share knowledge with team by taking a technical session (2 hours) every month
