I have developed a chat application using tomcat 6.0.20 and oracle 10g.Currently this application is running locally in a PC between two browser windows. Can i implement it distributively such that it might run between two browser windows at different computers?

Try to access your application from another computer.

is this a server specific issue or application specific?
you mean--http://ip of another computer/8080/name of application.
right?
will it require any special configuration in tomcat 6.0?

What issue? If you developed web based application it should be accessible from anywhere, but of course there could be network specific restriction. I do not know how is your network configured.
