Can we deploy CGI scripts on Websphere Application Server 6.1

Hi,

I am a newbie to CGI world... We are having an existing webapp hosted on Websphere Application Server 6.1. Now I got some CGI scripts which are independent of any other modules.. and I need to host them on this application server along with our current application(Struts webapp).

I looked fot cgi-bin directory in the application server's directory structure.. but couldn't find any such folder..

My question is how can I host these .cgi files in my application server. Any pointer towards achieving is helpful....

Not sure you can do this - it kind of doesn't make much sense to be deploying a CGI application on an application server. However, you could easily enough stick an HTTP server in front of WAS and handle you CGI requests there.

you are right!! i'm looking for how to configure CGI in IBM HTTP Server.

if you can send me a example about how to configure it would be appreciated

I don't know how to do it, but IBM seem to have some documentation that looks promising.
