Is it possible to integrate Flex with Struts 2.1 without any hassles i mean with complete reliability. I am developing a Struts 2.1 based application. i have created nearly all the ActionClasses i am yet to identify a reliable client side technology that is impressive and and excellent performance wise. I see all these features in Flex but i dont know if its possible to integrate Struts 2.1 with Flex.

i think it should be possible because what i know is that when using flex the flash player renders an XML file send by the server. DOes that mean that all we need to do is create an xml rendered JSP.

Please elucidate the key concepts behind Flex.

Thanks in advance

Yes, Flex and Struts can be integrated. Struts is probably not the best choice of server side framework; BlazeDS would be better, and Struts will contain an awful lot of features you will not need.

The Flash player runs compiled SWFs. The JSP runs server side code, Flash is client side.

Thanks i have done a lot of googling today and finally i have come to the conclusion that Flex although is very impressive but not suited to my Struts 2.1 application. I think GWT or DOJO would be the best although i am finding performance issues with Dojo.

Thanks alot
