How to geo-tag a camera image in android?

If the device has a geo fix, then the image has EXIF tags that contain this information. I just tested it and found that the following tags were present:

GPS Version ID		2 2 0 0
GPS Latitude Ref	N
GPS Latitude		42"30'36.0
GPS Longitude Ref	E
GPS Longitude		23"19'24.0

If you want to inspect the EXIF tags that are present in an image, I recommend the free ImageJ application and its EXIF Reader plugin.

I am using the following code snippet on android 2.2 to geo tag a camera image, however it does not seem to work.

 
Camera.Parameters p = mCamera.getParameters();			
p.setPreviewSize(w, h);
p.setGpsLatitude(-81.626470);
p.setGpsLongitude(30.084970);
java.util.Date dt=new java.util.Date();			
p.setGpsTimestamp(dt.getTime());
mCamera.setParameters(p);
