Today I faced the examination and passed with a score of 80% which didn't satisfy me at all. Anyway it wasn't the overall score which disappointed me but the scores for individual sections. I could hit 100% in API contents , Declarations , Initializing and Concurrency Sections . And 90% in Flow Control while I scored 70% in both Fundamentals and OO concepts. But Collections and Generics was a disaster for me Scoring only 40% . Although I have been using j2se in my university projects for about one year I didn't use Generics at all. So when I get chance to study them for this examination I was really excited with their usage. So I felt desperate when I coudn't score a good mark in that section. Anyway I'm happy about my achievement

Talking about my preparation I studied for 1 and half months while doing my full time Computer Science and Engineering Degree. So It was like 2 or 3 hours for a day.May be 5 or 6 hours on weekends. I read K&B two times ,First time completely without missing anything and the second time just the important facts and areas where I had some doubts. It was one of the greatest book I ever read in my life in any context. They present the problem and the solution in a really exciting way.I recommend any newbie who got a passion for JAVA should read that book whether you face the exam or not.So a Big Hug goes to Kathy and Bert.

And then the ExamLab ! It was a great tool for me . I scored around 60-65 in every Mock Exam. It should be used as a learning tool rather than making it a testing tool. And the second Hug goes to Devaka for that wonderful tool, and felt great when I got to know that he is also from my University.

And the third Hug goes to All the ranchers for their support ,although I didn't ask many questions I learned a lot from the threads in the forum.

Next Target : SCWCD and SCJD

To all ranchers ,

Any Ideas on my next targets ,what should I do First ? Suggestions on good materials for above exams? I will be actively participating in above forums in the future

Good Luck for all the people who are going to take the Exam!
