I have already mentioned in another thread, how hard the Say-4b assignment is.

I just wanted to mention, that it is no reason to give in. I still haven't managed to pass this assignment yet (but I'm sure I'm going to make it with Marilyn's help ).

I'm already onto attempt 3 and I'm pretty sure, Marilyn still has something left up her sleeve to pick at, I'm just waiting to learn my lessons.

I'm really looking forward to OOP, Servlets and especially JDBC.

But now it's time to learn the basics.

Who is ready to learn them with me? Are you ready?

Hey Stuart, when you get through this one - and you will - it's going to feel sooooo good.

4b just might be the wildest dogie to rope in the CattleDrive. You have the right attitude though, not giving in and looking forward to the OOPs, Servlets and JDBCs. They might even feel like a piece of cake once you get past the big, mean ol' Say-b.

Ride 'em Stuart!

Hi Stuart,

Keep on truckin'! You will succeed. Say 4b is probably one of the toughest assignments. It took me 5 attempts to get it - but boy howdy did it feel like I had accomplished something when I passed!

Hey Pauline, hey Kelly!

Thanks for the backup! That does reaaaaaly goood !

I haven't seem many cattle herders having much trouble with the OOP assignments, so I'm really looking forward to that.

I'm slowly working through HFJ (HeadFirstJava). After that I'm back to "Just Java", I hope that's a good combination .

(I'm on the dusty trail to Java-town)

Hey Stuart,

If HF Java and Just Java work for you, then it's definitely a good combination.

If HF Java was around when I started the Cattle Drive, I would have combined the two also. Lucky you!

No need to shake off the dust before moseying into the Big Moose Saloon...

When I started the Cattle Drive (back then in the "good old days" ),
I had just bought "Learn Java2 in 21 days".

I got pretty far with it too, ...
I could copy code out of it and create a few GUI buttons,
but I never had the feeling I understood what I was doing back then.

It's all different now, or so it seems.

One thing I know is:
I don't know half as much as I wish others to think I do

OK ...

I'm going into the fourth attempt shortly,
but I think I may have it by then ...

Wish me success
