How to create a jQuery dialog with fixed positioning that works with IE6

Hi Bear,

first of all I must say that I really love jQuery. I've been working with plain JavaScript and the Prototype library for years now and it's just incredible to experience jQuery in action The jQuery API is very concise and efficient and the performance is amazing.

Now my question is: How do I create a jQuery dialog with a fixed position (always centered even when scrolling) that - wait for it - also works with Internet Explorer 6.

Sorry that I don't have a pat answer for you -- I stopped supporting IE6 when Microsoft stopped supporting it.

Obviously, IE6 doesn't support the fixed positioning property, so I suspect you'd have to resort to detecting the scroll events and moving the position of the dialog itself accordingly. Messy, but should be possible.
