array of values from JSON object

I am aware that an array of keys can be obtained as follows:

keys=[];
for(var key in row) {
keys.push(key);
}
return keys;

I was just wondering if there is a way to obtain array of values for a row. TIA.

Hi Bear, row is any singular one dimensional extraction from json object. For example (have not been tested),

  var str='{
    "comedians": [
        {
            "name": "Jim Carey",
            "id": "1" 
        },
        {
            "name": "Adam Sandler",
            "id": "2" 
        } 
    ]
}';

var jsonObject=eval("("+str+")");
var row=jsonObject.comedians[0];

OK, so what's the question? comedians is already an array.

Well your code

keys=[];
for(var key in row) {
keys.push(key);
}
return keys; 

gets the names, so you would have to do row[key] to get the values.

 values=[];  
 for(var key in row) {  
 values.push(row[key]);  
 }  
 return values;
