Hi All,

I cleared Oracle Certified Web Component Developer for J2EE 5 today with a score of 100%.

I just wanted to share my preparation experience with you all.

My preparation time was around 2 months. I mainly referred only the book Head First Servlets and JSP which really helped me to understand all the areas which would be covered in the exam. Thank you very much Bryan, Kathy and Bert for such a wonderful book. I read this book more than 3 times and carefully studied all the important points.

I did Entuware Mock exams which were very close to the actual exam. Also Javaranch really helped me to find out answers on certain areas which I was not clear. Thank you all for helping me in this.

Also I am working as a Software Engineer and my experience also helped me to achieve this wonderful score.

Started preparing for taking OCBCD.

Thanks to everybody and all the best to everyone who is going to take this certification.

Regards,
Anish

Wow. Congrats! That is some score, my friend. I'd ask you for the parts you found hard, but, apparently, you didn't find any... haha

Congrats for such a good score

Now, I have a query, I passed my scwcd 1.5 exam on 7th Sep,10 but on logging into the certmanager.net/sun i cant find my status as certified in SCWCD; though in history section i could see in EVENTS that i have passed the Exam 310-083 and then ENROLLED in "Oracle Certified Professional, Java EE 5 Web Component Developer" but its nowhere written certified in SCWCD/ OCWCD. I used the same prometric id for both the scjp i passed earlier n this scwcd, so thats definately not an issue.

Is your account(on certmanager) showing you up as certified or you are also facing the same trouble?

Kindly help me.

Yes Gaurav, I am also facing the same issue. Under "Certification" section, I am not seeing SCWCD/OCWCD. But under "history", it is mentioned that I passed the exam. And still waiting to get my certificate.
