In your other posting you posted over 500 lines of code.

If you are a beginner, then learn to walk before you run. That is write a simple test applet that displays an image on a background. This is called a SSCCE. Then if you have problems we will be more will to help since we don't have to read through 500 lines of code to find the problem.

Once you understand the basic concept you can then apply the knowledge to your real program.
