how to get images

Hi all,
can any one explain -
how can i store the images on device(emulator). i used rms concept to store the images. but when i close the midlet that stored images also cleared.
when i open emulator i want to show that images like our normal mobile. it contain picture folder and all images are stored in that folder know like that. how it is possible.
try to give source code for this.
