Hello all, I have been told that my connection to the ldap server will need to go through a proxy server. I will not be able to simply pass the url plus port. Has anyone worked with implementing sockets to connect to an ldap server?

I am researching the sockets issue and wondering if it is possible to pass anything 'secure' through a proxy I have no control over?

Hi All, I am stuck, I need to utilize a proxy server to get out of my network to get to an LDAP server. The admins refuse to make an exception. Is there any way to code into existing classes to utilize a proxy server? Any ideas are most welcome! TIA.

Hello All, i am looking at using http tunneling to make an ldap connection through the proxy server on port 8080. The problem is that I keep getting errors about the protocol not being recognized. I have the following code:

Any ideas are greatly appreciated!
