Is websphere administration same as websphere development ?
Or these two things are different ? If they are different, then what is the difference between two ? I mean, what operations are different for development from administration. I have not used websphere as yet and I may be using it in near future. So I want to know about the difference.

Thanks

Yes, they are different. WebSphere admins may know next to nothing about the implementation details of the applications they deploy on their servers.

I understand that application deployed on websphere is completely different from websphere itself. It can be J2EE application or any other application.
Like J2EE application development, is there websphere development ? Or if I am developing an application using websphere, its called websphere development ?

What different skills a websphere administrator has that websphere developer does not have ?

Another thing is, if I am using websphere for developing a J2EE application, am I not the person who will take care of deploying that application ? Please explain me in little bit more details please.

Thanks

Yes, Weebsphere administration and Websphere development both are different things. If you are talking about websphere administration then you should know the below things.
1- How to deploy applications at Websphere server.
2- How to do Load balancing in Websphere.
3-How to do Clustring in Websphere.
4- How to create Profiles in webshpere
5- how to create Nodes in websphere.
etc.

If you are talking about Websphere development then you should know the following things.

1- How to use IDE like - RAD,WSAD
2- What parameters support Websphere.
etc.

Don't get me started about those stupid light bulbs.
