Why are you using the old driver? Are you stuck using JDK 1.2 or something?

actually i need to deploy my code and classes12.jar of oracle 9i is being used in the jboss server.

so my code should work with oracle 9i classes12.jar which actually is not happening right now.

Please help me in writing the code which convert a String object to CLOB using oracle 9i classes12.jar

Why classes12.jar though? That is an Oracle driver for JDK 1.2. The reason I ask is that this particular driver didn't have great support for binary data types, whereas the current version do.

Do you mean inserting a String into a CLOB field in the DB ?? or what do you mean ??

If that is the case, then just use the JDBC setString method on the CLOB.

Doesn't matter whether its a clob or varchar in database...
You can consider it as String in your java code.........
(provided you are not using updatable resultset)

happy Coding
