No Serializer Found

I am new to Web Services.

I made a simple Web Services call and I got Fault. I cannot tell what is going on from reading the Fault String and Fault Detail. Please help to sort the problem out.

I forgot to mention that I have no control over "gov.nih.nci.cabio.domain.Gene".

"gov.nih.nci.cabio.domain.Gene" is to which my web services client tries to access.

Apparently the WS is trying to send a Gene object over the wire; that only works if it knows how to serialize/deserialize it. You need to either a) create a pair of serializer/deserializer classes and instruct Axis to use those (for this you'd probably need to see the source code of the Gene classes), or b) tell Axis to use the bean (de)serializer and hope that the Gene class conforms to the JavaBean specification. A look at the documentation of the WS, or a talk to whoever maintains it, should help with this.
