Abstract classes can be extended by other classes and then when the constructor of the Subclass is being invoked- it implicitly calls the constructor of the Super class ie the Abstract class.

There might be common fields, which can be initialised in the abstract class.

abstarct classes can still have fileds in them like
abstract class hey
{
int a ;
abstract void method();
}

therefore when you extend the class you mite want to initialize the variables that's why you can have a constructor.
