Do we have to use a virtual ftp server to be able to send email through JSP?
Would you please suggest me the software and code to send email through JSP??
Thanks in advance

For sending mail you don't need an FTP server, you need an SMTP server. You would access it through the JavaMail API; the JavaEnterpriseEditionFaq has lots of information about that. If you don't have an SMTP server yet, and can't install or access one, you can use the embedded Aspirin server (which is also mentioned on that page).

And sending mails through a JSP is a bad practice, You should be doing this in your controller/servlet probably.
