Depending on the class whose method creates a RequestDispatcher, the path to the resource to be forwarded to will change.

I did not understand what are trying to ask... getRequestDispatcher(), a method of the class ServletRequest returns the RequestDispatcher object that acts as a wrapper for the resource located at the specified path. Using this reference, you can forward the response and request to the specified path. I am not sure whether i answered your question. Please question a little clearly if not.
