I use Apache Tomcat as a container. In my application I'm trying to load alot of resources that are somewhere in the filesystem (photos). Im writing an application in Vaadin framework and I can't load more than 21 images because I get the following exception :

Are there more items in the stacktrace ("caused by" traces?). This is a generic exception and it doesn't cover details. There's normally something more specific that should show in the logs, too.

Unfortunately it's the whole stacktrace that has been generated.

Hmmm. Not good.

Check to see if you're running close to the edge on RAM. Also look at the localhost log file - sometimes it should critical server-related info that catalina.out doesn't.

What I'd do if none of the above works would be to run the whole thing in a debugger and intercept the Exception in the hopes that examination of the Exception object itself contained more info.

It's possible you're improperly closing the Response IOStream, but I can't say for sure.

I asked my friend to check my code and he's said that it works. So I think that maybe my Tomcat doesn't have enough RAM. How can I extend the default heap size ?

EDIT:

I tried to run it on 64 bit system and it works. I mean I can load more than 21 pictures but... I can't load more than 80. But on 64bit the exception looks a bit different:
