This week, we're delighted to have Mario Zechner helping to answer questions about the new book Beginning Android Games. See this for a description and table of content of the book.

The promotion starts Tuesday, May 10th 2011 and will end on Friday, May 13th 2011.

We'll be selecting four random posters in this forum to win a free copy of the book provided by the publisher, Apress.

Please see the Book Promotion page to ensure your best chances at winning!

Posts in this welcome thread are not eligible for the drawing.

Hi there!

Mario speaking. I hope i can answer all your questions and look forward to the conversations.

Here are a couple of links that might get the ball rolling:

The book's Amazon site
The book's Apress site (Kindle/e-book versions are only available there for now)
The full Table of Contents
Google Code site: All of the book's source code is available as open source (GPLv3 at the moment, i'll change this to Apache 2 License so that you can also use it in commercial projects). There's a short introductionary video showing you how to set things up and run the projects.
Book forum: Here you can get (limited) support, you can report errors in the book or the code and so on.
Blog: my personal blog, filled with all things game development and Android (plus the occasional silly post ).

Ciao,
Mario
