As part of our software development team, the candidate’s role will be focused on the development of a VOIP solution targeted towards unified communication. Experience in developing client/server driven applications using software engineering principles is desired as is a strong understanding of object oriented programming and ability to implement it. The candidate should also have a desire to be challenged, adapt quickly, learn new technologies, and work hard as the company grows.
Responsibilities
Design, develop and
test software components for the gateway
Be involved with establishing development methodologies and processes
Assist in preparing product for trials, and general availability
Aid with other tasks within the company as needed
Contribute new and innovative solutions
Perform investigative work as needed
Perform technical writing and documentation as needed
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science/Engineering
Expertise with
Java, C/C++
Understanding of general telecommunications
Proficient in developing multi-threaded applications
Knowledge in the area of networking and technologies such as VOIP
Sufficient knowledge/experience working with Microsoft or Linux/UNIX-based operating system(s)
Preferred familiarity with the following: SQL, TCP/IP, SIP, JSON.
Excellent communication skills: written & oral
Creative, positive, and self-motivated
Capable of working independently and with a team
Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
Preferred
Understanding of two-way radios
Experience with Asterisk / FreeSWITCH PBXs
