I'm curious as to why some people buy vouchers instead of just paying direct with their credit/debit card...anyone care to enlighten me?

May be their employers are paying for it.

Hello,

Personnally, it can seem very weird to you, i don't have an international credit card, even more i don't know someone of my entourage who does . (i can say, that is because we really never do online payment)

There is another fact (perhaps that's possible with the online payment also!), a voucher can come with a double retake option, if you fail you can repass your exam with the same voucher code, you don't have to buy another voucher, i was actualy in the mailng list of one local entreprise(apparantly was Sun Partener) and when i received emails saying there is a double retake option available, i simply go to the place and took one.

Good luck,

I see, so where do you get the vouchers from? Direct from Oracle? I only have the Web Services left to do so a free retake might come in handy!

Actually, what i sayed was at the Sun period, recently when i wanted to pass the SCEA part 3, i couldn't find vouchers, the entreprise i was dealing with has also issues with the news Oracle policies, they couldn't procure me a voucher only after two week and it wasn't for sure ! (I asked a friend of mine to give me his credit card infos to do an online payment)

Indeed, a double retake option can help, i was in hurry and don't prepared enough for the SCWCD, i failed, but pass after a week, you feel a lilte like cheating, because you got similars questions .

Sorry, i didn't give you any useful informations ! You should try to find an Oracle Partners/Reseller.(in my case, i was lucky to have a Sun partner near of my work local, that's all)
