Viewing inside the Box!

I am working in Java 3D to produce a scene of a room. So i used a box to create room. But when the view is inside the box i see nothing but black. I tried placing lights inside, disabled back face culling but to no use.

Any help?

Does the box have a color on the inside?

Maybe the normals of the sides are only facing outwards?

I have tried with default 'appearance' i.e with white color.
Also tried by assigning a red color.

Regarding the normals, i think you mean normals of face!
But aren't normals of inner faces by default point inwards?

Did you see how Paul cut 87% off of his electric heat bill with 82 watts of micro heaters?
