We seek an experienced GWT software engineer to lead the development of the browser-based gateway of our enterprise grade data-management software solution.

Design & develop elegant and responsive user interfaces using GWT and java Swing. Provide input at all stages of product development. Understand, debug and refine existing GWT-based web gateway to our data management server application. May also be assigned secondary duties working with our dedicated java swing client GUI and company web site, so graphic design skills and SEO knowledge would be a plus. 

Desired Skills & Experience
Required Skills:

The ideal candidate will have a deep knowledge of Google Web Tools (all versions) and will have led, or been a major contributor to, at least 2-3 enterprise projects using GWT. We will rely on your knowledge of the strengths and weaknesses of GWT to make recommendations on the implementation strategy for the browser-based portion of our product.

We will also consider experienced engineers who have worked on enterprise-level Java projects, but have a lower level of experience with GWT. In this case, you will need to demonstrate to us that you will be able to quickly learn what you need to work with GWT at the high level we require.

The ideal candidate will also have strong Java design, development and UI development skills.
Additional useful experience and characteristics:

Web Development, Java Swing, JavaScript, enterprise grade client-server applications, development of web applications for mobile devices, knowledge of scientific research workflows a plus. Flexible, able to adapt quickly to new challenges strong interest in cutting-edge scientific research, able to work as a member of a close-knit team.
