Currently I'm a real estate agent.

Make really good money.

Only 22 years old, really good at real estate though... If I worked another 2 years I would most definitely be making 100k +

^^Can also be a fallback if I get tired of traveling.

Now to my plan:

I'm in california and I have the opportunity to go live with a friend for a couple months and then from there I plan on traveling all over the world working small jobs and enjoying/learning about life/culture/people/myself.

Also while I'm doing this I plan on learning Java and learning to code on the Android and release some apps to help bring in some income later on.

Once I get the official OK from my friend (Probably tomorrow) I'm going to quit the same day and get ready.

What do you guys think about this?

I'm scared / excited... But I also feel like this is my path that God wants me on.

How everything has come together perfectly for me to do this, was amazing... And the last part that convinced me was a random old guy (rich in money and life expereinces) comes up to me and started talking about he traveled the world when he was my age and left with nothing.

You mean after 2 years right?

But I also feel like this is my path that God wants me on.

I wouldn't know about that. We are not on talking terms.

haha I mean quit tomorrow pretty much. I can always come back and restart my real estate career-- im serious about being good at it.

--- about the god thing --- im not even very religious --- i just do believe that everyone has a path, and if you ignore it for too long you'lll lose it

also a big fan of the book "The Alchemist".

You might think of getting TEFL or similar certification, so you can teach English if you decide to stick around somewhere. I got one from Oxford Seminars (no relation to Oxford University, but it sounds good) and taught English for a year in Viet Nam when I needed a career break.

Hello Greg, it is my assumption that you went to Viet Nam on visitor visa. If so, how can one work on visitor visa?

Under the radar. However, larger schools will assist their staff in getting work permits.
